An old college pal will pay April (Italia Ricci) a visit in the upcoming episode of ABC Family's drama series "Chasing Life."

In "Ready or Not," Cartermatt reports that someone from April's past will come and reminisce about the bygone days with her. Ellie Pratt is a friend back in college, but she and April also have a long-standing history of rivalry. As April spends time with her, she begins to realize that old habits die hard and Ellie has not changed at all. She will especially feel miffed when she discovers the reason why her old friend is in Boston in the first place. What does Ellie want after all these years?

Meanwhile, Beth (Aisha Dee) will receive some troubling news that will threaten not only her career, but also her relationship. Will she be able to overcome this hurdle? Beth has been a great friend to April and viewers will certainly feel bad if things will not work out for her, even after all her sacrifices.

Last episode, the Carver women finally discovered the secret that Thomas (Tom Irwin) had hidden for a very long time. George (Steven Weber) revealed that April's dad suffered from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). In order to leave his family with insurance money, he wanted to commit suicide. He then conspired with George to help him put the plan to reality.

While Natalie (Jessica Meraz) seemed to take the revelation badly, viewers also saw how it shocked Brenna (Haley Ramm). In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ramm talked about what her character was going through after learning the truth about Thomas.

According to the actress, "She got so close to him right before he died and she wonders why he didn't tell her what was going on. Does that mean he loved her less or didn't value their relationship?"

The actress shared, however, that April and Sara (Mary Page Keller) would help Brenna move on by giving her "a lot of clarity and support." She said that the teenager would not be struggling so much after that heart-to-heart conversation.

"Chasing Life" airs Mondays at 9 p.m. EST on ABC Family.
