Another case of racial shootings will be the focus of the upcoming episode of "Chicago PD" season 3.

In episode 21 called "Justice," Kim Burgess (Marina Squerciati) will get into trouble after shooting a 17-year-old African-American honor student who she believed was the person who shot her partner Sean Roman (Brian Geraghty).

When the authorities did not find a gun from the teenager's possessions, the public was enraged and accused the police officer of committing another racial crime. Since the boy's life could face a drastic change since he may possibly never walk again, Burgess will be sent to court.

Burgess will be represented by Assistant State Attorney Peter Stone (guest star Philip Winchester), who will conduct his own investigation about the case under the supervision of State Attorney Mark Jefferies (guest star Carl Weathers). These characters will be included in the next Chicago spin-off, "Chicago Justice."

Squerciati talked about working with the "Chicago Justice" cast in an interview with CarterMatt. According to the actress, working with the cast of the new spin-off feels like the first day of school.

"We're there like 'oh don't worry, Chicago winters are bad but the food is awesome' (laughs); we help them make the transition. Also, you're sussing each other out, and they were such a lovely team to work with," the actress said. "I never got to work with Carl Weathers and I'm still upset about that. I'm hoping to if and when 'Justice' gets picked up."

Squerciati also explained that while the events in "Chicago Med" and "Chicago Fire" could go hand-in-hand, "Chicago PD" and "Chicago Justice" will be more fit for a crossover.

Also, the actress teased an explosive season 3 finale for "Chicago PD."

"Once we read 'Justice' we were like 'what else can they do,' but then they figured it out! It's such a tragic, tragic ending, and in a way that is so unlike any TV ending. It's so horrible. It will really shock everyone," Squerciati stated.

"Chicago PD" season 3, episode 21 will air Wednesday, May 11, on NBC.

The judgement of God has finally come upon the United Kingdom. Quietly. Silently. Like a thief in the night. It came in the form of an irrational, emotive and Godless parliament who this week voted to permit the killing of babies in the womb up until birth, and has now introduced the National Suicide Service, with its vote to permit assisted suicide. God has given us what we voted for.
