Chicago Bulls NBA 2015 trade news: Is Derrick Rose move feasible?

Derrick Rose has been plagued by injuries the past years and now with the Chicago Bulls' campaign finished, could the ballclub entertain the idea of trading away the one-time NBA Most Valuable Player?

The idea has suddenly come in the air but Bulls' fans shouldn't be alarmed since such a thought was brought up as a means to tinker with the scenario as the Bulls head into the offseason.

Of course, what makes the whole thing interesting is the fact that a Rose trade is nothing new. It has been brought up before though much of that came out when Rose was in the sidelines and Butler was amply filling in for the injured MVP during most parts of the regular season.

Speaking of Butler, he is perhaps a reason why the trade could happen if ever. Adding more fire to the likelihood of that is that reported rift the two had in game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals which saw the Bulls fall to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Butler is an upcoming free agent that is expected to be pursued by multiple teams. He is due for a max contract and that is something the Bulls may not be able to offer since they have used up most of it – a large chunk owed to Rose.

All that could change if the Bulls trade Rose of course but would it be the right solution? Rose has carved a name for himself and has proven his worthwhile Butler is a rising and future star.

One point against Rose is the question of his health. His troublesome knees have been a cause for concern and heading into the next NBA season, a trade could be made at the right place or with the right players that the Bulls need.

Rose still has two years left in his five-year deal worth $94,314,380 so it may all depend on the Bulls if they are decided to go on a different route.

A possible destination could be the Boston Celtics who are in need of a leader and scorer to lead their young turks. Who would they get in exchange? Isaiah Thomas could be one plus other players to offset the value of Rose which would require multiple players to materialize.
