Tom Thibodeau doesn't necessarily have a fruitful relationship with the Chicago Bulls management these days. And if he fails to churn out a credible outing for the Bulls, it may be goodbye to the long-time coach who came onboard last 2010.

The Bulls were one of the favorites to vie for this year's NBA title but thus far, the Bulls have not fully lived to that billing. Currently at fourth place in the NBA Eastern Conference, the odds just got stacked all the more with franchise star Derrick Rose being sidelined once more.

In fact, some have counted the Bulls out of the equation which many believe cleared the way for the upstart Lebron James-led Cleveland Cavaliers. However, all that remains to be seen.

Thibodeau has long been rumored to be on the way out despite two years remaining in his contract. The likelihood of seeing Thibodeau leaving the Bulls is surely one that many expect come the offseason.

Overall, Thibodeau has done a great job managing the Bulls through the years despite falling short. During his early years, no one paid notice to the squad which became popular during the time of Michael Jordan.

The team came into the limelight with a new breed of stars. Aside from Derrick Rose, there is Joakim Noah, Taj Gibson and Jimmy Butler who are in their current lineup. Luol Deng had his share of success before heading to free agency.

Pau Gasol has been a valuable addition but with Rose gone, critics believe that the team has lost an essential element if they are to aim for the NBA title.

Rose is definitely a big loss and Thibodeau has surely taken account of that. However, there is Jimmy Butler who has risen to the occasion ever so often which could somehow ease the burden.

So now all that remains is for Thibodeau to adjust and come up with another strategy with Rose out of the equation. If that fails as well, expect Thibodeau to be given the pink slip by the end of the current season.

However, don't expect him to be unemployed for long since other teams are bound to try and sign him up if that happens.
