The Chicago Bulls are doing well this season amidst a number of issues with their roster and coaching staff and, in an interview, on WSCR-670 AM on Christmas Day, the team's executive vice president of basketball operations John Paxson spoke about the possibility of trading. 

Currently, the Bulls are seventh in the Eastern Conference standings with a 16–12 record and are coming off a 118–111 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. 

As Chicago is trying to find consistency and rhythm this season, Paxson said about trading, as transcribed by K.C. Johnson of the Chicago Tribune, "If at some point we feel like we need to make some changes, do something different with the roster, we talk to teams all the time."

Paxson also stated, "If there's a way to do something different as we look at this, we certainly will."

The 55-year-old former Bulls player also said that no move may have happened in the past but that does not mean they will not be doing it.

Paxson added that when they like a group, they will be sticking with it and said they are liking some individual pieces, although "it just doesn't seem to be meshing the way that you'd like," also citing the inconsistency they are having.

Recently, longtime Bulls big man Joakim Noah has been on the trade rumor mill because of his reduced role with the team and dwindling performance. 

But no move has been made yet, with the 30-year-old veteran being out of action due to a shoulder injury suffered in a game versus the Brooklyn Nets. 

As of this point, it seems unnecessary for the Bulls to trade, with guard Jimmy Butler thriving this season and star point guard and former Most Valuable Player (MVP) Derrick Rose still trying to find his game. 

Next for the Bulls is a three-game home stand which will begin today, Monday, when they take on the Toronto Raptors.
