Despite a great rookie season, a lot of rumors are now pointing out that Jahlil Okafor might be getting traded off to the Chicago Bulls. With this, it is expected for Taj Gibson to be exchanged in order to make their rebuilding process all the more effective.

According to the Parent Herald, the 76ers are also trying to rebuild their team and as such they are trying to get a good deal for their runner-up Rookie of the Year player Jahlil Okafor, and he has been such a big help for he team in the last season. However, despite this, he has been in most NBA trade rumors recently, but chief among these is the deal with Chicago Bulls.

However, the Chicago Bulls is actually just trying to boost their capabilities and emerge as one of the new season's possible powerhouse competitors for the championship. After all, they already have their core players such as Jimmy Butler, augmented by their newest acquired players Rajon Rondo and Dwayne Wade himself. As such, should they get Okafor as well, their aspirations of becoming the next season's champion will be more attainable.

Okafor is known to have low lateral quickness, which certainly hampers his defensive capabilities, but even with this he can certainly give consistent inside scoring for the Bulls. The main reason for this trade rumors is due to the fact that Joel Embiid is expected to make more impact than him, as he can provide offensive pressure while possessing defensive capabilities, making him more versatile and thus more desirable.

Inquisitr, on the other hand, sees Okafor as the missing piece for the Bulls. After all, Nikola Mirotic and Bobby Portis can still be power forwards should Taj Gibson be traded for this player. Regardless, this trade will be beneficial for both parties, but without any confirmation, fans should just wait for official updates.
