The St Louis Cardinals will play the Chicago Cubs in Game 4 of their NL Division Series MLB Playoffs 2015 game on Tuesday afternoon, and the Cubs have the chance to close out this series today to progress and send the Cardinals crashing out of the postseason. The game has a scheduled start time of 4.30 p.m. ET and takes place from Wrigley Field in Chicago, Illinois. The game can be watched on TV on the TBS network or online through live stream via the link below.

The Cardinals are bringing star pitcher John Lackey back early for this crunch game, knowing that if they lose today he would not even get the chance to pitch for a decisive Game 5 that he was scheduled to pitch in.

He has had only three days rest since helping the Cardinals win Game 1, but St Louis dare not wait to Game 5, and are throwing their best pitcher out again to try and drag this series out all the way.

Game 3 saw Jake Arrieta and the Cubs' young batters drive their team to an emphatic 8-6 victory to go 2-1 up in the series and move to within just one more win of the next round of the Playoffs.

Cardinals manager Mike Matheny was likely hoping to leave Lackey out of the line up until the NLCS, and only use him for a Game 5 if really needed. However, all that planning is now out the window as the Cardinals fight for their postseason lives in a must win Game 4.

Matheny highlighted the importance of today's game, as well as the fact that Lackey only needed to pitch 86 times in Game 1, in their decision to send him out to the mound today. He said, "I think he's proven it all season long. He's the guy we go to in a big situation, and [Tuesday] is a big situation. He's ready to go on short rest. We were able to get him out [of Game 1 after 86 pitches]. He's had enough rest and is ready to go.''
