Viewers will finally learn what happened to Matt Casey (Jesse Spencer) in the upcoming season of NBC's series "Chicago Fire."

Hollywood Reporter reveals that season 4 will pick up right where the last installment ended, with Casey kidnapped after going undercover to investigate the inner workings of a seedy Strip Club. The teaser released by NBC shows Dawson (Monica Raymund) finding a dead woman in Casey's apartment, prompting her to call none other than Voight (Jason Beghe) for help.

Voight, for his part, will enlist the help of the Chicago Police District's finest to find Casey, who went missing while working for him. Casey was attempting to help his team capture the bad guys involved with a human trafficking ring. Everything was going well in the sting, until the felons spotted Casey talking with the police in the parking lot

Afterwards, he suddenly vanished, leaving a dead stripper in his apartment. The cops of the Chicago PD now have the difficult task to find him and his kidnapper before it becomes too late. According to Inquisitr, it is highly unlikely that Casey will turn up dead for the upcoming season. For one, he is seen very much alive in the first trailer released for the series.

The website also posits that Casey is still included in the spoilers for the next episodes, as well as in the cast photos taken from the set. Although it is expected that there will be much drama involved with his storyline, fans can still breathe freely that their favorite character will not be leaving the show soon.

Meanwhile, a new member is set to join Firehouse 51 for season 4. Jimmy Borelli (Steven McQueen) will reportedly receive the ire of Chief Boden (Eamonn Walker) after being unceremoniously dropped by his brother in the department.

Executive producer Matt Olmstead told Entertainment Weekly that Jimmy will not have a good start at 51. But guess who will help him win the chief over? He said it would be Casey, as the veteran will see something in the newcomer that indicates he will be a great firefighter someday.

"Chicago Fire" will return on Oct. 13 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
