"Chicago Fire" couple Casey (Jesse Spencer) and Dawson (Monica Raymund) has been reunited for a few episodes now, and fans are wondering if the two will ever tie the knot.

In the season 3 finale of the hit NBC series, Dawson found out that she was pregnant. Though she and Casey weren't together anymore, he gave his full support and told her that he would be there for her and the baby.

As the two continued to get closer again in season 4, they experienced tragedy as Dawson had a miscarriage. But instead of tearing the couple apart, this seemed to have brought them closer together, and as a result, they're back together and their relationship appears to be stronger than before.

When asked about a possible Dawsey marriage on the show, Spencer told TVLine that in the couple's hearts and minds, they are already married.

"They're together. I don't see them breaking up. I, as Jesse, would be traumatized if they had to break up at this point," said the actor, adding that though he supports the couple, an actual marriage would be "inconsequential."

Spencer added that there's a rule preventing married firefighters from serving together and that he doesn't know how the characters would make their marriage work if they decide to wed. As for the ring that Dawson once wore, Raymund said that the location of the sparkler has not been addressed by the show.

Fans of Dawson and Casey will get to see the couple again when "Chicago Fire" returns next year for an epic two-night crossover with "Chicago Med" and "Chicago P.D."

According to TVGuide, the first part of the crossover starts on "Chicago Fire" as the crew heads to Chicago Med to keep vigil after one of their own gets stabbed. In the midseason finale, Freddie stabbed Herrmann and left him to bleed. Dr. Rhodes and Nurse April will be taking care of the firefighter as the team rallies around him and hopes for his survival.

The crossover event begins on "Chicago Fire" on Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 9/8c and Wednesday on "Chicago P.D." at 10/9c on NBC.
