Sharon Goodwin (S. Epatha Merkerson) takes dedication to duty to a whole new level in the upcoming episode of the NBC series "Chicago Med."

In "Saints," TV Guide reveals that Gaffney Chicago Medical Center is caring for a patient who badly needs bone marrow transplant. When the situation quickly becomes critical, the chief administrator will reportedly overstep her bounds to help him. Sharon's action will draw ire from the higher-ups, and this may lead to her being dismissed from the job. What kind of emergency measure will she do to save a life? Does it mean stealing bone marrow?

Meanwhile, Dr. Natalie Manning's (Torrey DeVitto) parents have come to see baby Owen. The pediatrician just gave birth and it is time to meet the newest addition to their family. It is a shame, of course, that her husband will not be able to share the joy with them. He died a hero, fighting for his country. With her parents' arrival, Natalie's support system is complete. Will they soon have a party to celebrate the delivery of a healthy baby?

Also in episode 7, Gaffney will have its usual hodge-podge of patients. There is the young couple still giddy from their first date. Unfortunately, the romantic vibe was destroyed when they got injured in a hit-and-run accident. Instead of enjoying a candlelit dinner, the pair will have to settle with holding hands while getting patched up in the emergency room. Elsewhere, April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) will find herself playing custodian to a homeless man.

Last episode, a pair of airplane stowaways arrived at the hospital. They were siblings from Mexico, and according to the woman, they wanted to leave their father who planned to sell them. Homeland Security came to interrogate them, but the patients were in no condition to talk. The brother passed away after sustaining major injuries from falling from the plane. The other needed immediate surgery for her legs.

Because all the operating rooms were booked, Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) had no choice but to perform the surgery in her hospital room. Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) was furious, saying the other doctor thought he's untouchable just because his wealthy father donated millions to the hospital. Connor's old man wanted to honor his dead wife with the construction of a new ward. To his surprise, Will learned that Connor's mother committed suicide while the fellow was just a kid.

"Chicago Med" airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. EST on NBC.
