Things will get heated in the hospital in the next episode of NBC's "Chicago Med" season 2.

The previous episode of "Chicago Med" left off with the beginning of a troubling story arc for Dr. Daniel Charles' (Oliver Platt) daughter Dr. Robyn Charles (Mekia Cox). In "Deliver Us," the epidemiologist started hearing strange noises in her apartment caused by rats. Those rats turned out to be nonexistent and the sound she was hearing was just all in her head. Her erratic behavior eventually led Daniel to get her admitted to the hospital for further tests.

This week's episode will continue to explore Robyn's distressing mental condition. "White Butterflies" will feature a confrontation between Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) and his girlfriend's father, Daniel. Their fight will be caused by a disagreement over the proper treatment that should be done for Robyn.

A sneak peek for the episode features Connor dropping by the psychiatric ward to visit Robyn. He strongly believes that she should not be there, but Robyn appears defeated in the clip. "What can I do?" she asks Connor. The teaser also previews the major confrontation between Connor and Daniel.

Following the major turning point for Robyn, Cox spoke with One Chicago Center to discuss the journey ahead for her character. The actress offered some insight into where Robyn's mind will be in the next episode.

"I think it's very disorienting for her," Cox stated. "She doesn't really know what's going on, but she still has this need to be in control, so she still feels like she's in control."

Fans are well aware that Robyn has a strained relationship with her father. Her mental health issue will likely push her to get along with her father since his psychiatric expertise makes him the person she really needs right now.

The fifth season of "Chicago Med" airs every Thursday at 9 p.m. EDT on NBC.
