The "Chicago Med" family has just grown by one. "Teen Wolf" alum Arden Cho has been confirmed to join the third season of NBC's medical drama.

According to TV Line, the 32-year-old actress will portray Emily, the adopted sister of Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), on the show. Her character is said to be a semi-gambler who bankrolls her high-stakes betting by cozying up to rich men. Unlike her reserved and reticent older brother, Emily is fun, energetic, and extremely unpredictable.

Cho celebrated the casting news with a tweet, expressing her excitement in joining the "Chicago Med" family.

"Guess the secrets out! Thanks @NBCChicagoMed I always wanted an older brother, oh & being a trouble maker sounds like FUN! Sorry @brian_tee ," she wrote.

Prior to "Chicago Med," Cho was a part of the MTV series "Teen Wolf." Recurring on its third season until she was promoted to a series regular in the two subsequent seasons, she played the role of Kira Yukimura who was Scott McCall's (Tyler Posey) second love interest. She was left in the desert at the end of the fifth season to deal with the Skinwalkers, officially writing off the character.

The actress shared on YouTube that she was not expecting to be dropped from the show at first.

"I loved my experience on Teen Wolf. I love the cast and crew," she said. "It's been an amazing almost 3-and-a-half years ... but unfortunately, it looks like we are wrapped up with Kira's storyline and she won't be coming back for Season 6."

Apart from Cho, "Chicago Med" also admitted "House of Cards" veteran Michel Gill for a recurring role in its season 3. Gill will play the estranged father of Dr. Sarah Reese (Rachel DiPillo), Robert "Bob" Haywood. The new character arrives at Med as a patient, but wreaks havoc with his daughter when he re-enters the picture.

"Chicago Med" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
