'Chicago Med' season 3 spoilers: Will Dr. Charles survive his horrible incident?
Only a few days left until the season 3 premiere of "Chicago Med," an American medical drama television series about doctors and nurses stationed in the emergency department at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center. A first-look video was recently released, giving fans a sneak peek at what to expect in the third season of the drama.
Exclusively revealed by TV Line, fans are first taken to the scene where Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) was shot point-blank outside the hospital, as first shown in the end of season 2. It is not known whether the doctor will survive his wounds, and it will be the main highlight of the new season in the first few episodes.
However, a recent report seems to imply that Dr. Charles will indeed survive the terrible incident. According to the spoiler posted by CarterMatt, "Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) has to balance the stress as the ER's supervising Attending Physician while exploring a budding romance with Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto), emergency pediatrics resident."
"Rising star heart surgeon Dr. Connor Rhodes' (Colin Donnell) is put to the test with the arrival of a new, highly competitive cardiothoracic fellow, Dr. Ava Bekker (Norma Khuling). Dr. Daniel Charles recovers from both the physical and psychological injuries from being shot, but still remains the Sherlock Holmes of psychiatry," continued the spoiler teaser.
The new season will also delve into the personal lives of the stars of the show, balancing the highly stressful job of being doctors and dealing with their own personal relationships.
Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee) and April Sexton (Yaya DaCosta) are both struggling to keep their relationship secret, while Dr. Natalie Manning and Dr. Jay Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer) are yet to put a label on their connection. Will the stars eventually crack under all the pressure?
The third season of "Chicago Med" will premiere on Tuesday, Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
