American police procedural drama television series from NBC "Chicago PD" returns for this week with the fifth season's seventh episode titled "Care Under Fire." In the upcoming installment, the team tracks and pursuits a former Army Ranger who is suspected to have kidnapped a boy in the wake of several gang-related child abductions. Voight (Jason Beghe) sends Halstead undercover (Jesse Lee Soffer) to get information from the inside with his experience as a former Ranger.

The promo shows the kidnapped boy being blindfolded and tied to a chair. It also reveals that the abductor is a former friend of Halstead, but no further information is disclosed.

There are a of couple reasons to worry about Halstead as he chases the child abductor. First off, he could still be hurting after losing Lindsay (Sophia Bush). Although this has not been mentioned as of late, it does not necessarily mean that he has gotten over it and is fine already. Second, the Chicago Police Department is still in the process of changing, which means that a lot of eyes are on them, and could spell danger for some of its members.

The episode gives Jesse Lee Soffer a chance to play a character who is different from himself as he goes undercover, giving him an opportunity to show what he can bring to the table as an actor. "Care Under Fire" also centers on his character's past as an Army Ranger, which allows him to have more screen time.

Meanwhile, Sophia Bush had recently disclosed her reasons for leaving the show. She said that it was her personal decision to quit the show. Bush responded to an Instagram user who seemed to insinuate that she was forced to resign. She added that it took her a lot of work to get out of the show, and asked that her capabilities not be demeaned and her position degraded.

"Chicago PD" season 5 episode 7 will air on Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
