Bolivia have been one of the surprise teams of the tournament so far, and coming into today's match they have matched host nation Chile on results.

Ahead of today's big match up, Chile and Bolivia are joint top of the group having each won one and drawn one. Both teams managed to defeat Ecuador; Chile won 2-0 in their opening game, where as Bolivia defeated them 3-2 in a thrilling game earlier this week. In addition both could only manage a draw against Mexico; Bolivia opened their tournament with a drab 0-0 draw against the Mexicans, where as Chile's 3-3 draw with Mexico was anything but dull.

That leaves Chile and Bolivia on four points from their two games so far, although Chile have the advantage with a +2 goal difference, where as Bolivia have a goal difference of just +1.

A win for either team here today would guarantee a top spot finish in Group A and a potentially easier tie in the next round against a third place finisher.

However, a draw today would seriously complicate things. A draw would be enough for Chile to stay above Bolivia, but it would also open the opportunity for Mexico to leapfrog both into top spot in the group.

Mexico are playing Ecuador in today's other Group A game, and if Mexico can win by three clear goals or win by two goals in a high scoring game, then they could move into top spot if Chile and Bolivia play out a draw. That would push Bolivia all the way down into third place, although they would likely qualify as one of the top two third-placed finishers in the three groups in Copa America 2015.

A loss for Chile today would see them likely slip all the way down to third place in the group and face possible elimination - their fate would rest on the results in other groups and rely on them being one of the top two third-placed finishers.

So there is still a huge amount to play for in Group A with three teams fighting it out for first place in the group.

"We want to finish first in the group, we know it will be tough," Zenteno has said ahead of the game. "The aim is to do good things on Friday and go through as the best in the group. We are happy, but we will not lower our guard. We are mentally prepared to have a good performance in every game - the confidence is there."

Coming into today's game, history is with Chile, as Bolivia have not managed to win against Chile in their last eight attempts - not beating them since 2000 when they won 1-0 in a World Cup qualifying match.
