Chris Hemsworth's wife, Elsa Pataky, has just proved she is capable of dealing with Australia's terrifying wildlife as she recently confronted a tree snake that entered the bathroom of their Byron Bay home. Being the outback woman that she is, the 41-year-old actress did not just trap the snake; she caught the whole thing on tape too.

In the footage, she and another woman are seen working together to get the snake safely out of their house. Using just a handle of a mop and a large, empty box, Pataky wrangled it while standing on top of the toilet. "This is how I put her in the box. So professional!" she captioned her video.

Once captured, the reptile is then seen slithering and hissing with its forked tongue inside the makeshift cage. Check out the footage below:

Reports have revealed that the tree snake Pataky found inside their home is a native to the Northern Rivers area and found in large numbers in the region. They are non-venomous and not known for biting. They emit a strong odor when threatened, though.

Pataky has been very showy of her love for animals, regularly posting pictures with them on her social media accounts. According to Daily Mail, her family even own a selection of horses, currently housed on their Byron Bay acreage. She recently visited South Australia's Kangaroo Island with Hemsworth and their kids, where they held snakes, koalas, and kangaroos.

The actress previously admitted she prefers life in the wild than Hollywood glamour. As she said last year, she does not mind the wild, "People are like 'You have a snake in your bedroom!' And I'm like, 'I know! I love it!"

"It's totally me, more than any inch of glamour," she explained. "People don't know me in that way because they see you all dressed up and with your makeup done, but when I feel my most happy are when I'm the total opposite."

Pataky, a native of Madrid, is married to Hemsworth, whom she shares three kids with—5-year-old India Rose, and 3-year-old twins Tristan and Sasha.
