Ben Affleck has drawn mixed reactions since being announced to take up the mantle of Batman for DC Comics' cinematic universe. In fact, even the actors and voice actors — who formerly played the hero were not too shy in expressing their opinion of the character.

Actors like Michael Keaton, Adam West and Kevin Conroy, among others all expressed their views on Affleck's portrayal of the caped crusader and thankfully most were positive. But there is one other person who shared the role with Affleck who has yet to provide feedback — his most recent predecessor, Christian Bale.

Believe it or not, "The Dark Knight" actor has never actually seen Affleck wearing the cape and cowl, in spite of the actor already appearing in several DC movies since 2016.

When asked by MTV's Happy Sad Confused podcast if he had already seen any of the movies where Affleck's Batman has made an appearance, the actor said that he hasn't.

He said, though, that he is actually interested in seeing the most recent portrayal of the character.

"Yes, I'm interested [in seeing Ben Affleck's performance]," he said. "My son seemed like he was really interested, but then I realized he just wanted to see that trailer and that was it. And, you know, I tend to go see films that [my kids] want to see."

Bale, who probably had the most successful and well received run as Batman, has been constantly compared to Affleck since the latter took the role. Many fans have actually hoped that he would be returning to play the character for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice," but director Zack Snyder said that he wanted the character to have a different look.

It doesn't seem to be a big deal for Bale, however, as the British actor admitted that he's not really a fan of superhero movies, in spite of portraying one — and one of the most famous at that.

"I have to confess, I'm not a huge superhero film fan," he revealed.
