Christy Nockels to release first live worship album on April 23
Worship singer-songwriter Christy Nockels is all set to release her first live worship album on April 23, while the latest CD in the Passion series garners positive reviews from critics.
The album, titled "Let It Be Jesus," will feature 11 songs, including two songs that have been featured in two recent Passion live worship albums. All songs were recorded in the Passion City Church in Atlanta.
"Passion" is the title of a series of yearly conferences organised by the Passion City Church. During the conferences, the live performances by various worship artists are recorded and afterwards released in CD format.
Nockels has continued to be part of the Passion conference since its inception in 1997.
Nockels expressed her excitement at the upcoming release of her first live album.
"I can't wait to release this offering and to share what a beautiful night this recording was," she said in a press release. "Something so unforgettable happened as we worshipped Jesus together in wonder and remembrance," the artist added.
Last year, Nockels' live performance of "Let It Be Jesus" was featured in the live worship compilation "Passion: Take It All" alongside artists like Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman, Ed Cash and David Crowder. This year, her performance of her song "My Anchor" was also included in 2015's "Passion: Even So Come" compilation.
"Passion: Even So Come" was released on Tuesday, and immediately received rave reviews from critics.
Dr James Dobson stated that "Passion: Even So Come" is the best amongst all Passion CDs currently released.
"I have owned and listened to nearly all of the live Passion albums, and Even So Come is one of the best," Dr Dobson, who runs Family Talk, said of the album.
