Church Army & Premier Continue Evangelistic Mission Partnership

|TOP|Premier Christian Radio has continued its partnership with Church Army, after it named the charity as their Home Mission Partners for 2006 earlier this year.

The Church Army, known for reaching out to the secular community through street evangelism has said since its announcement of the new partnership that it is greatly enthusiastic about the venture.

David Coleman, the Communications Manager at Church Army has said "Church Army are the only Anglican mission agency working exclusively for Home Mission in the UK and Ireland.

“We are about sharing faith through words and action and we have over 300 active trained evangelists across the country helping churches to reach out to the communities around them in innovative ways.”

|QUOTE|"Premier are unique in the Christian community because they reach the whole of the Church, across the whole of the nation. We hope by working together we can encourage more churches to get, pray for and support home mission, and use our resources and the experiences to help reach people where they are with the life changing message of the gospel."

The Church Army, which was established in 1882 by the Church of England curate Wilson Carlile, has since encouraged people to give witness to their faith in the open air and at packed indoor gatherings, a practice they still follow today.

"When we think of Church Army, many of us think of home mission, of stepping outside of churches and bringing the gospel to people around us," Peter Kerridge of Premier Radio commented. "When Church Army was formed in 1882, that meant standing in the streets and the parks and sharing the word of God - while that's still important as ever - as Christians we can offer even more today, we can reach people in their own homes through Premier Radio and Premier.tv."

"It's precisely because Church Army are so focused on home mission that we've decided to make them our Home Mission Partners for 2006. Together, I believe we can reach people wherever they are in our nation with the most important message ever told - the message of the gospel."
