'Cities: Skylines' update: Game free to try on Steam until Feb. 11, discounted until Feb. 12

"Cities: Skylines" is free to try on Steam until 1 p.m. PT on Feb. 11. Players can also avail themselves of the modern city-building simulation game for a discounted price until 10 a.m. on Feb. 12.

The standard game is currently being sold at $7.49, 75% off the original price of $29.99. The Deluxe Edition is also available for 75% off of the original price at $9.99. For players who already have the base game, but would like to avail of the additional content of the Deluxe Edition, the Deluxe Upgrade Pack is also discounted at 75% off and priced at $2.50.

Steam is also offering 53% discount on "Cities: Skylines" Collection at $56.00. The collection features the standard game as well as five expansions, three content creator packs and two music packs. The expansions include "After Dark," "Snowfall," "Natural Disasters," "Mass Transit" and "Green Cities." Another discounted bundle for players to avail is the New Player bundle that is discounted at 66% off and priced at $19.00. The New Player bundle will feature the standard game as well as "Natural Disasters" and "Snowfall" downloadable contents (DLCs).

The 12 DLCs of the game are also available for separate purchase at discounted prices. "Green Cities," "Content Creator Pack: European Suburbia" and "All That Jazz" are at 10% off. "Concert" is available at 25% off while "Rock City Radio" is at 30% off. Meanwhile, "Mass Transit," "Natural Disaster," "Snowfall," "After Dark," "Content Creator Pack: High-Tech Buildings," "Content Creator Pack: Art Deco" and "Relaxation Station" are available at 50% off each.

"Cities: Skylines" is developed by Colossal Order and published by Paradox Interactive. Players of the game are tasked to engage in urban planning as well as to maintain the elements that make a city liveable. It was first released for the PC in March 2015. In 2017, the city-building simulation game was also released for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
