Back in May 2016, Supercell released a "Clash of Clans" update that turned out to be a disappointment to fans. The release consisted merely of two additional levels. One of these was the Giant Level 8, and the other was the Archer Tower Level 14. The game developers had worked on these updates for three months, and most fans felt that they had been offered too little, too late.

Now, in a savvy marketing move, Supercell has decided to take inputs for its flagship game "Clash of Clans" directly from fans. As Game & Guide reports, the gaming company is hosting surveys that allow fans to send in their ideas, feedback, and opinions. The developers welcome suggestions from the public, and these ideas and complaints are being addressed on the back end slowly but steadily.

Vine Report notes that some of the features in the upcoming update include crossover characters from the spinoff game "Clash Royale." The Miner and the Baby Dragon from the spinoff universe are expected to be a part of the main title. The new version will also sport a multiplayer mode, wherein gamers can invite co-players to a challenge, both from inside their clans as well as from the outside.

Another rumoured perk that the upcoming update possesses, according to Hall of Fame Magazine, is new content for owners of Town Halls 1 to 10. The earlier updates only offered goodies for players who reached Town Hall 11. The gamers below that level were neither targeted nor benefited from the summer update. However, at this point, this remains a mere conjecture that may not even make it to the actual "Clash of Clans"universe.

Furthermore, the game is facing competition from another title that offers similar gameplay and strategy. "Battle Champ," as this rival is christened, is considered by some disappointed "Clash of Clans" fans as a better version of the game.
