The promised update for "Clash of Clans" is coming but not as early as fans expected. In the recent Clash Con, the game's developer Super Cell promised that "one of the biggest updates" for the MMO strategy video game is coming and that fans should know more about it around this time.

"There's going to be changes across the board. We're going to be doing an extended sneak peek schedule in the coming weeks and we're going to be going over all these changes," Super Cell senior server engineer Jonas Collaros said during the event, as quoted by The Bitbag.

The game studio promised that the sneak peek videos it will release will speak for themselves but up until now, these clips are yet to drop. This prompted media outlets to believe that the update was delayed to December.

According to reports, Super Cell is saving up the massive DLC for "Clash of Clans" for the holiday cheer instead. It is important to note that there are already goodies already set up for the game for Christmas so it is unclear if these new holiday-centric features and the DLC will be released as one.

Within the DLC pack is said to be the much-awaited Town Hall 11, which will come with a new staff-wielding hero, which is suggested to be a mage, and one that lines up with existing characters like the Barbarian King and Archer Queen.

This "Clash of Clans" December update is also believed to endow fans a brand new tower defense system that measures 4 square meters, which will offer higher HP levels and more damage capabilities. This should fit right in with the battlefield that Super Cell is expanding up to 44 square meters.

The December update is also expected to finally allow "Clash of Clans" players to share loot with clan members.
