Fans of the super popular mobile game "Clash of Clans" will reportedly have a major update to look forward to in the coming weeks or perhaps even earlier.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, the major update is expected to either be released or at the very least announced this weekend during the ClashCon event in Helsinki, Finland.

As for what players can expect to arrive in the update, for now at least, the game's developers have remained silent when it comes to their plans.

In the past, Supercell, the game's developer, was open to talk about what the contents of their next update will be, but they have changed course at least for now.

The only thing that "Clash of Clan" players can look forward to for now is that they can reportedly expect the next update to bring a lot of changes and most likely new content as well, although that should do little to temper the expectations of fans all over the world.

Fans will simply have to stay tuned over the weekend to see what new items or changes will be revealed during the ClashCon event.

Still, even with mystery surrounding the upcoming update, Supercell is still aiming to appease fans with a little palate cleanser ahead of their planned release.

According to GameZone, Supercell has released a new optional update for "Clash of Clans" containing a variety of Halloween-themed goodies.

The optional update is adding some pumpkins to the village map to give it that distinctly Halloween look. Players will also be able to see some cauldrons in the game that could net them some elixirs.

Players can also participate in the one-gem spell factory special. The bonus event will be lasting for a while as it is expected to run all the way through Halloween weekend.
