Fans of the hugely popular and smash hit "Clash of Clans" are in for a treat this week as it is apparently confirmed that the upcoming Town Hall 11 update for the game will release on Dec. 10.

According to All Clash, the latest sneak peek not only highlights a number of new items for the upcoming update. Supercell also came out with a definite release date – the update will come out Dec. 10. The update itself was deemed a most awaited one since it will introduce an upgraded level for the Town Hall – level 11. In addition, the website also underscored one of the game-changing features that the TH 11 update will bring: a big change in shield mode features.

Meanwhile, Touch Arcade said that the Town Hall 11 upgrade itself will unlock a number of new features for both offense and defense. When players upgrade to Town Hall 11, it will unlock a new defensive structure called the Eagle Artillery.

Working like the mortar, the Eagle Artillery can be upgraded to level two (maximum) and will cover most of the base and the map itself, with only the immediate surrounding area around the item considered a "safe zone." Also, like the mortar, the Eagle Artillery has slash damage on grouped enemies approaching, at the same time targeting a single individual attacker.

The new update will also introduce a new game hero, according to iDigitalTimes. The Grand Warden on defense turns into a statue and gives out HP aura buff to Skeleton Traps minions, Clan Castle defenders, and stationed heroes in the base. Meanwhile, the Grand Warden also actively participates in the defense, acting as a turret with long-range attacks.

Aside from a new Town Hall level, hero, and defense structure, the upcoming update is also expected to introduce other changes in the game like a larger base map space and the ability to donate spells through Clan Castles.
