A reunion will happen with last year's runner ups as point guard Mo Williams is set to rejoin the Cleveland Cavaliers after agreeing to a two-year deal.

Williams made the announcement through Twitter, "I'm coming home!!!!! #cavsnation #cityilove #questforaring."

ESPN reported that the pact was worth $4.3 million and has a player option after the second year.

Williams first came to Cleveland in 2008 as he was acquired via a three-team trade with the Milwaukee Bucks and Oklahoma City Thunder, the other teams involved in the deal.

In his first season with the Cavaliers in the 2008-09 season, Williams, 32, helped the team achieve the best record in the league at 66-16.

That season, the point guard averaged a career-best 17.8 points, 3.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists per game, and was also selected to replace Chris Bosh in the All-Star team, his only selection in a storied 14-year career.

Unfortunately, the Cavaliers lost against the Orlando Magic in the Eastern Conference Finals that season.

In his second year with Cleveland, Williams again achieved success, with the team reaching the second round of the playoffs, but they were eliminated by the Boston Celtics in six games.

After that season LeBron James decided to leave the Cavaliers for the Miami Heat. Following James' departure, Williams started the 2010-11 season with the Cavs but was traded to the Los Angeles Clippers during the season.

Since then, he has been a journeyman, joining four different teams, including the Charlotte Hornets, where he finished the 2014-15 season.

The addition of Williams is huge for Cleveland considering the success the franchise had when they acquired him for the first time.

In his first stint with the team, Williams and James were the scoring duo that brought the Cavaliers to deep playoff runs for two consecutive seasons.

This time around, he can be a backup along with the Aussie Matthew Dellavedova for All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving, who is recovering from injury.
