Cleveland Cavaliers news 2015: Timofey Mozgov out for two weeks due to injury

The Cleveland Cavaliers just lost another starter to injury, with reports that center Timofey Mozgov will be out between 10 to 14 days due to a strained shoulder.

The Russian slotman underwent magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to determine the real score on his shoulder injury, which he sustained when the Cavs faced the Milwaukee Bucks. This serves as more bad news for LeBron James and company, with a handful of the team's stars already on the injured list.

That includes Kyrie Irving who has yet to return after undergoing knee cap surgery, Iman Shumpert (wrist), and Mo Williams (ankle).

Mozgov has been struggling so far this early in the season compared to the breakthrough the big guy showed in the last National Basketball Association (NBA) Finals. And James is taking notice and has been pushing Mozgov and the rest of the team to another level.

With Mozgov out, Anderson Varejao, Tristan Thompson, and Sasha Kaun may have to step up in his absence if the Cavs are determined to bounce back and snag that first NBA title this season.

James is pretty darn serious about their mission, wanting his team to take each game seriously. He showed that against the Atlanta Hawks, criticizing yet again his teammates despite the fact that they held a pretty large lead against their opponent.

Such is expected to continue and seeing that the season is still in its early stages, James is likely to continue barking at his teammates all the way to the playoffs and probably until they attain their goal, which eluded them last season.

The Cavs are one of the favorites (if not the top) for the Eastern Conference, returning with practically the same lineup with some minor additions. The only notable absentee is Irving, although the resident playmaker is expected to make his return in early 2016.
