It is understandable to hear that LeBron James is pondering on what could have been in the recently concluded NBA Finals where his team bowed to the Golden State Warriors. Try as he might, one man simply cannot lead a team to victory, more so a grueling series.

Though focus right now is on next season, James admits that the scenario would have been different if he had the ample backup to fend off the Warriors. This of course refers to Kevin Love and Kyrie Irving who both fell to injuries during the NBA playoffs.

Despite his monster numbers in the NBA Finals, it was apparent that James would somehow be burned out by this time. And even though he may not show it, the King is still obviously hurting.

"I guess there's nightmares now about situations throughout the games that's always replaying in my head, "James shared in an interview with Bleacher Report Radio on Sirius XM. "It's definitely hard, you know I'm getting better every day, but you know it takes quite a while for me to get out of the funk," he added.

The Cavs lost Love in the first round when the power forward dislocated his right shoulder while Irving was ruled out just after game one of the NBA Finals. There were some like Tristan Thompson, Timofey Mozgov, Matthew Dellavedova, Iman Shumpert, and J.R. Smith who tried to fill in the vacuum but the supporting cast was simply not enough.

A form of consolation came James' way however after being named ESPY for Best Championship Performance despite not running away with the championship.

So how is Lebron holding up? Despite being emotionally drained, the phenom still manages to put on a smile these days. Recently, James took time out to appear on the "Tonight Show" where he had some light moments playing Faceketball with host Jimmy Fallon.
