Cleveland Cavaliers rumors 2015: Kyrie Irving returning soon?

Kyrie Irving has yet to play in the 2015–16 National Basketball Association (NBA) season and apparently, it has something to do with the recent surgery on his knee cap which he injured during game one of the last NBA Finals.

It is widely believed that Irving will most likely take the hardwood once again by January 2016 barring any issues that could crop up during his rehabilitation. To date, it seems that everything is progressing well and Irving already has a specific date in mind.

When could this be? Only Irving knows. Apparently, he prefers to keep it to himself for now and opts to let the rumor mill guessing. As mentioned earlier, the belief is that Irving will be back in January 2016, so it seems he is fine with that belief at least for now.

Right now, Irving's main concerns is to properly rehabilitate his knee and work his back into shape. He does not intend to rush his return, and that seems to be fine with the Cleveland Cavaliers top brass.

Irving has been limited to non-contact drills like running and lifting some weights for now, a challenge that he unfortunately needs to undergo if he is to return properly and help the Cavs in their drive for that first NBA title.

The Cavs don't seem to mind seeing Irving out of the rotation for now, with the team known to step it up once the second half of the season comes around.

They did this last year and are expected to do it again. One thing that the Cavs are planning to do is manage the minutes of their key players. Aside from Irving, there is Lebron James and Kevin Love to attend to.

Love is coming back from a shoulder injury as well from last year's NBA playoffs, while James has been bothered by recurring back problems since the NBA preseason.

The Cavs are likely to watch the minutes of James and Love as well as they try to make sure they have a full and healthy deck once the 2015–16 NBA postseason comes around.
