The Cleveland Cavaliers are reportedly looking to add some wing players before the trading deadline, and one of those additions may be Carmelo Anthony.

Recently, the New York Daily News reported that the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics have talked about a trade that involves Kevin Love. Those discussions, apparently, kept going to the point that the New York Knicks were also asked about their possible interest in trading All-Star forward Carmelo Anthony.

For now, that supposed deal has not come to fruition and Anthony himself has said recently that he is not looking to be traded.

Any trade involving Anthony cannot be made unless the Knicks forward signs off on the deal himself. This is because Anthony is in possession of a no-trade clause that essentially gives him veto power over any deal involving him that he does not like.

Adding Anthony would give the Cavaliers another wing capable of knocking down outside shots while also creating opportunities for himself off the dribble. The Knicks forward has had a solid season thus far, as he is currently averaging 21.4 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 4.2 assists per game.

With talks focused on Anthony reportedly coming to a standstill and the trading deadline already coming up this Thursday, the Cavaliers have also reportedly looked into bringing in other players.

According to Cleveland.com, the Cavaliers are reportedly one of several Eastern Conference teams that have expressed interest in trading for Sacramento Kings guard Ben McLemore.

McLemore has not had a very impressive season thus far, as he is currently averaging just 7.7 points along with just 2.1 rebounds per contest.

Still, McLemore could provide the Cavaliers with the added wing depth that may help them better compete with the NBA's elite squads.
