Cleveland Cavaliers trade rumors 2016: Cavaliers eye Kyle Korver

The Cleveland Cavaliers are looking to add another gunner to their ranks with rumors claiming that Atlanta Hawks' Kyle Korver is now on their radar.

Korver was among the main players of the Hawks reportedly up for possible trade. Aside from Korver, Al Horford and Jeff Teague are also on the block and both have long been linked to multiple teams.

The three-point artist could be a big addition to the Cavs as they continue their search for a natural shooter. Korver could take on the role of outside sniper, something that could free up some space inside the paint for the Cavs main stars.

The Hawks seem to be in the midst of breaking up their core after making a surprise run last season. Things haven't been the same for the team this season. Right now, Atlanta seem to be bent on getting younger players and dealing away their veteran and high salaried fixtures.

Aside from Korver, there are other names that the Cavs are rumored to be eyeing. Such include Tyreke Evans and Omer Asik of the New Orleans Pelicans. One of the players likely being dangled is Timofey Mozgov who has been far from himself compared to last season.

The problem right now is that Evans could be out of the mix after the Pelicans swingman saw his season end abruptly following a right knee injury. He already underwent successful knee surgery but is not expected back this season, according to NBA.com.

Korver could be the missing link that the Cavs need to cement their NBA title aspirations. He could take a similar role that Ray Allen and Mike Miller had alongside LeBron James with the Miami Heat title-runs, although nothing has been set on stone.

The Cavs have multiple Traded Player Exceptions on their end and could use that on Korver or any player they could be targeting.
