A reunion will take place today, Saturday, at the American Airlines Arena as four-time Most Valuable Player (MVP) LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers face the Miami Heat.

Before returning to Cleveland ahead of the 2014–15 season, James played four seasons with Miami and won all two of his championships with the franchise.

Now, the 30-year-old will return to South Beach to face close friends Heat's Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh, aiming to lead the Cavaliers and end a two-game losing skid.

The Cavs suffered their second consecutive defeat last Friday, falling to the New Orleans Pelicans in overtime 114–108 and also relinquishing the top spot in the Eastern Conference as they fell to 13–6.

James was the leader for the Cavaliers scoring 37 points, along with seven rebounds, eight assists, one steal, and one block in 45 minutes played.

The two-time champion got help from guard J.R. Smith who contributed 18 points and former All-Star forward Kevin Love, who had a double-double 15 points with 10 rebounds that came along with one assist and two steals.

If the Cavs are coming off back-to-back defeats, the Heat, on the other hand, are heading to Saturday's game bringing a huge victory as they edged the Oklahoma City Thunder at home last Thursday, 97–95.

Longtime Heat star Wade shone in the win over Oklahoma City with 28 points, four rebounds, four assists, and one steal.

It was a tight game but a couple of made free throws by Wade in the closing moments of the game sealed the victory for the Heat.

Along with Wade, Bosh also had a great performance recording 16 points, eight rebounds, two assists, and two steals.

Point guard Goran Dragić also had a great game for Miami tallying 14 points, three rebounds, seven assists, and two steals.

Thursday's win against the Thunder improved Miami's record to 11–6, enough for the fourth spot in the East.
