The best and worst team in the Eastern Conference clash today when the Philadelphia 76ers continue a six-game home stand taking on the thriving Cleveland Cavaliers at the Wells Fargo Center.

Philadelphia began the home stand with a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves, but fell to the Atlanta Hawks and the Toronto Raptors in its next two games.

In the loss to Toronto, veteran point guard Ish Smith led the way for the hapless 76ers with 28 points, five rebounds, four assists, and three steals.

Rookie center Jahlil Okafor followed with 19 points, six rebounds, four assists, two steals and one block.

Reserve forward Carl Landry had a quick playing stint but added 11 points and three rebounds in a losing effort.

The defeat dropped the 76ers to the worst record in the National Basketball Association (NBA) at 4-35.

Meanwhile, the Cavaliers head to today's matchup riding a six-game winning streak and are coming off an excellent performance in a win over the Minnesota Timberwolves Friday.

The win against the Timberwolves was a total team effort for Cleveland as six players scored in double-digits led by guard J.R. Smith who had 27 points.

Guard Iman Shumpert followed tallying 23 points off the bench, while former All-Star Kevin Love had 20 points.

Franchise star LeBron James had a double-double 13 points with 12 rebounds, that came along with eight assists, one steal, and two blocks.

The victory improved the Cavs' record to 25-9 to continue leading a tight race in the Eastern Conference standings.

Today's game versus Philadelphia is the third game of a six-game road trip for the Cavaliers, in which they are also set to take on the Dallas Mavericks, San Antonio Spurs, and the Houston Rockets.
