Kevin Love finally put a stop to all speculations as far as his NBA future is concerned, sealing the deal with a lucrative $110 million contract that will keep him in Cleveland for the next couple of years.

Love's move backs up the claim he made during Game One of the recently concluded NBA Finals that he would return to the Cavaliers next year.

Anxiety cropped up when Love opted out of his contract with the team. Though the move was initially seen as tactic to get more money, some toyed with the idea that Love could be jumping ship.

Apparently many felt that Love drew a lot of heat last season, as he was often criticized for his performance. The NBA All Starwho plays center and power forward struggled to fit in with the Cleveland system. Despite all the adversities, Love proved to one and all that he was a man of his word.

Prior to the contract, Love already gave an inkling that he was staying with in Cleveland. Love announced on The Players Tribune.

"After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that's when it really struck me. Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one," Love, also a senior editor at the site, wrote. "I had dreamed of playing in the NBA Finals and I just wanted to help my guys win. I couldn't have been prouder of them as they poured their blood, sweat and tears onto the court.

Love admitted that his decision was influenced as well by Lebron James. An Instagram photo showing James and Love hanging out at the swimming pool of a hotel in Los Angeles.

Though it was first reported that both never discussed anything, Love would later on admit that something to that effect did take place.
