CM Punk returning to WWE? Vince McMahon not bothered by comeback calls for CM Punk

WWE CEO Vince McMahon was in Chicago recently as he was set to be inducted to the Boys & Girls Club Hall of Fame. But other than that, there was a familiar chant going on, apparently the ones who miss one of the WWE's previous stars, CM Punk.

It will be recalled that Punk was fired by the WWE after a dispute on the latter's health practices.

Punk claimed that the WWE had disregard for his health, forcing him to compete even when he was not yet 100% healthy. The WWE has of course denied the allegations and Punk has moved on to the UFC ever since.

At the moment Punk is busy preparing for his UFC debut at a still undisclosed date. He has reportedly had two scrimmages  already and is currently being guided by Duke Roufus.

For his part, McMahon was asked if he was bothered by the calls for CM Punk in Chicago which was the mixed martial artist's hometown. McMahon answered a straight 'No' though it remains to be seen if that would mean he is not closing the doors for a Punk return.

Back in February, his son-in-law and WWE COO Triple H said that he isn't discounting a possible return by CM Punk to the WWE fold. That article can be read here.

Aside from Punk, McMahon was also asked if the WWE would consider holding Wrestlemania there in the future again. Apparently the issue surrounding the cold climate in Chicago is said to be a problem though the WWE CEO explained that the WWE has held Wrestlemania in cold-weather cities before.

Wrestlemania 13 (1997) and Wrestlemania 22 (2006) were held there before. If ever Chicago would be considered in the running, all that could possibly happen from Wrestlemania 33 at the earliest since Wrestlemania 32 will already be held at Texas next year.
