CM Punk to return WWE? Rumored match with Sting confirmed?

In the WWE world, everyone knows that CM Punk walked out from the franchise in January and has not gone back since. Last June, his contract with the WWE has ended and that pretty much stopped speculations about his return. However, CM Punk has a very large fan base, which is keeping the hope alive.

There's been recent news that CM Punk is confirmed to return to the WWE. And that's not all, with the announcement that Sting will be joining the WWE, reports pointed to a match between Punk and Sting to welcome the two pro wrestlers.

While this rumor is something WWE fans would love to believe, sadly, there's no truth to it. First of all, CM Punk is not returning to the WWE and has not said anything about it. And second, Sting won't be having a debut fight with Punk, but he might be with John Cena.

Apparently, the false reports started with the site named KDramaStars. The report said "Pro Wrestling Smarks has reported that CM Punk is allegedly ready to return to the WWE after a long hiatus and his return could coincide with Sting's WWE debut. Pro Wrestling Smarks then speculated that the CM Punk WWE return is actually going to be set up as a 'party crasher' so that Sting's WWE debut would have another big event happening on the promo."

The report also indicated a possible four-way match between Punk, Sting, Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar, saying "Fans have been buzzing for a Roman Reigns vs Brock Lesnar WWE World Heavyweight championship match and it seems while this is a good idea, WWE may give a curve ball by not giving them what they want but showing them something greater by hinting a triple threat match between Brock Lesnar, CM Punk and Sting."

With claims like this, people immediately started researching about Pro Wrestling Smarks and how credible this source is. Upon investigation, it is merely a Facebook page with only 32 likes. Obviously, it isn't a credible source of WWE news.

So there it is, CM Punk is not returning, Punk won't be facing Sting and there isn't any four-way match in the books.
