UFC 193 is over and done with but to this day, many are still reeling from the fact that Ronda Rousey's stars have fallen. That loss to Holly Holm was something many didn't expect but just the same, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) may be looking up to someone else to become the big name in the circle.

There are a lot of names mentioned in the list compiled by the New York Times. The list include names such as Paige VanZant, Sage Northcutt, and Demetrious Johnson.

From that list and despite the setback, Rousey is still at the top of the heap of UFC names. Apparently, the understanding is that at one point, Rousey will get over this shocking loss and return with a flourish.

That will obviously start once the rematch with Holly Holm is set for next year, probably at UFC 200 in July.

As for other names, how about CM Punk?

The inclusion of his name will most certainly draw in mixed reactions, likely because the former World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star has yet to officially fight inside the Octagon.

Despite being 37, the choice seems to lean on the fact that Punk has his share of followers from the WWE which, of course, means that there are still some who want to see how he fares in a different environment.

Punk just suffered a setback after incurring an injury at training which has pushed back his much awaited debut. There are some who believe that he could flop while there are others praying he could achieve the same success that Brock Lesnar did when he made the big leap some time ago.

Should he prove successful in his debut, then there is a chance Punk's stars could shine in the UFC circle. Right now, however, he is eighth on the list, although actually seeing him in UFC action could surprise everyone, including the skeptics.
