Back in June, producers of CBS network's medical drama "Code Black" decided to loop out actors Bonnie Somerville and Raza Jaffrey from the second season of the show. These two, as fans know, have been regulars on the show so far. And with the second season all set to premiere on CBS on the 28th of September, who are the new members who have been added to the cast pool? Let's find out.

Deadline reports that Kathleen Rose Perkins has been roped in for a recurring role in the new season. She is reported to portray Amanda Nolan, a psychiatrist who's joining the team at Angels Memorial Hospital. She joins actor Rob Lowe, who will be portraying military doctor Ethan Wills, another series regular.

Also, as per a write-up on TV Line, Tommy Dewey is returning for the new season. A photo that the actor uploaded on his Instagram account confirmed this. The shot shows Dewey with Lowe. Dewey plays Dr. Mike Leighton on the show.

Parent Herald recalls the story that revolves around the doctor. The medical practitioner practically overshadows his younger brother, Dr. Angus Leighton. In fact, Dr. Mike was nearly appointed as the Chief Resident at Angels Memorial.

However, that didn't come to pass because Dewey had another, more pressing, commitment to Hulu's show "Casual." Although the actor will appear in multiple episodes in the second season of "Code Black,"he may not be able to offer a more permanent slot on his schedule.

The upcoming season is also rumored to include several guest stars. Three of these include Camryn Manheim, who plays the wife of a truck driver who met with a terrible accident; Alexandra Grey, who portrays a transgender woman who seeks help at the hospital due to her stomach pains; and Eric Roberts, who plays Vince Savetti, the father of Mario.
