'Code Vein' news: NPC characters and details revealed

Video game developers, Bandai Namco, have provided their fans with more information on their upcoming action role-playing game (ARPG) title, "Code Vein," by introducing some of the characters that will be important to the narrative of the game. As it turns out, players will need to be mindful of the in-game relationships that they will be developing with the different characters as they progress through the game, since this will impact the result of each run-through.

First off, it is important to note that players will be spending most of their non-killing time at Home Base, which is the neutral ground in "Code Vein" — where players get to sell or buy equipment as well as replenish their stock of items. Additionally, the game's non-playable characters (NPC) are also located here and will be players' main source of quests that will eventually allow them to gain a lot of experience points or chance at better equipment.

It is important to mention that the NPCs, Davis Murasame, and Coco, will not only give out quests, but will also be essential in making the gameplay easier for players, especially since each of these NPCs have their own specializations. For instance, players can request Coco to find some rare items for specific quests, while Murasame will be selling special equipment that players can use to improve their gear or to use for transforming gear.

On the other hand, Davis can provide his exceptional scouting abilities to point players in the right direction as to where they can best farm for better equipment without putting themselves in perilous situations. That is if players can cultivate a strong relationship with these NPCs, which raises Affinity points. Having Higher affinity points means improved chances of getting better equipment or items from each NPC.

"Code Vein" will be available for Xbox One, PlayStation4 and PC sometime in 2018.
