Colombia vs Uruguay World Cup 2014 soccer preview [ABC TV info]

Colombia and Uruguay are set to play one another in the second of two World Cup 2014 games taking place on Saturday as the Last 16 gets underway in Brazil.

The game will kick off at 4 p.m. EST and will be broadcast on ABC. The game will also be made available to watch online through live stream – free for subscribers – via the link provided below.

Colombia and Uruguay have only played each other once before in the history of the World Cup; way back in 1962 when Colombia were making their first World Cup appearance. At that time Uruguay came out on top, winning the game 2-1. That incidentally was also Colombia's only ever World Cup game against South American opposition even until now.

Uruguay are clearly the favorites to win this match when it comes down to history between the two. Over the past decade the two teams have faced one another eight times, with Uruguay winning six of those games compared to Colombia's one win. There has also been one draw between the pair in that time.

However, Colombia will be much more confident of causing Uruguay problems today. Colombia are undefeated in their last 10 games and are in excellent form. They have won six and drawn four of their last 10 games. Their last loss was a 0-2 result against, you've guessed it, Uruguay in September 2013.

Colombia are trying to make history today; they have only made the knock out stages of the World Cup once before, and in that case – back in 1990 – they lost 1-2 to Cameroon. They are attempting to make the quarter-finals for the first time ever.
