With only nine days left before NetherRealms officially opens the bloodiest fighting tournament, the game studio made sure that gamers will already have their picks before marching into the battlefield by fully unmasking the roster of "Mortal Kombat X" fighters.

In the developer's most recent Twitch MKX Kombat Kast stream titled "Episode 8: MKX Anytime, Anywhere," all 24 slots in the character selection screen, once bare and empty, are filled up. The mix of new and classic characters is simply the most menacing and strongest lineup in all of "Mortal Kombat" history, and that itself is actually understating its glory. Moreover, the duels are made more callous, and Brutalities have never been so true to their name.

But it is official. Legendary kombatants and rivals like Reptile and Scorpion will be playable and so will Kano, Raiden and Sub Zero. It is undeniably more fun with Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade around. Liu Kang, Jax, Quan Chi and Shinnok are also in the pack joined by Kung Lao, Kitana and Mileena.

It is also great to see another Cage running around in the form of Cassie as well as a fighter running the intimidating Briggs blood in her system, Jacqui. Kombat tenderfoots like Takahashi Takeda, Kung Jin, D'Vorah, Kotal Kahn, Ferra & Torr and Erron Black will also be there.

With add-ons, players will also be able to play as Jason Voorhees or even Predator. Gamers can also fight as Tanya, Tremor or Goro with the purchase of respective expansion packs.

Speaking of DLCs, NetherRealms is likely to give away free characters, skins or items post-launch. The game studio plans to keep some freebies for "Mortal Kombat X" coming by putting them in constant rotation.

The Twitch stream also showed off two unlockable skins — one is Johnny Cage's Ninja Mime and the other is Jax's Farmer Jax skin. These are shown at around the 17-minute mark of the Twitch stream. It is important to note that these two skins can be accessed and moved from "Mortal Kombat X" Mobile and into console versions of the game.

Fans and gamers will see "Mortal Kombat X" in its glory once it arrives to the Xbox One, PS4 and PC on April 14. Those who want to play it in the Xbox 360 and PS3 will have to wait for summer.
