While UFC president Dana White is very certain that Conor McGregor will defend his featherweight championship title whatever the outcome of his UFC 202 rematch with Nate Diaz on Aug. 20, the Notorious seems to be unsure about it.

The 28-year-old Irish professional MMA fighter told the press during the UFC 202 media conference call that he is currently fixed on his upcoming welterweight non-title bout with Diaz, which is why he could not think about another fight beyond it.

"Who knows what's next? Right now I'm 15 days away from a war and I'm ready for the war. So that's all I'm thinking of right now. So let's have this war," McGregor said in a video that was published by MMA Weekly. "I haven't really spoke about it to anyone about what's next. Who knows what's next?" he added.

Meanwhile, Jose Aldo claimed that White promised him a rematch with The Notorious no matter what happens during the UFC 202.

"Dana said his next fight has to be at featherweight, so I'm hopeful," Aldo told Daily Star.

The two fighters faced each other at the UFC 194 in December 2015. McGregor managed to become the UFC Undefeated Featherweight Champion by beating Aldo with a first-round knockout after only 13 seconds.

Meanwhile, Eddie Alvarez also claimed that he is willing to fight McGregor or Diaz after the fighters' rematch at the UFC 202 arena this month.

"Yeah [I wanna fight Nate or Conor], regardless of who I fight, whether it's the best fighters in the world, the true pound-for-pound best guys in the world, regardless, I always get asked by the media about these two guys--mostly about Conor McGregor," the 32-year-old American fighter told Mirror UK.

Alvarez also said that he is getting tired of being asked about McGregor, which is why he would want to face him finally to stop the reporters from bugging him about the Irish fighter.

However, there are no official reports from UFC yet regarding plans on McGregor's next bout.
