Jose Aldo was declared the featherweight fighting champion by the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) last weekend, however, it looks like the Brazilian fighter is still after Conor McGregor's hide.

Last weekend, UFC announced that McGregor has finally decided to give up his featherweight title to remain as the UFC lightweight champion after beating Eddie Alvarez earlier this month at the UFC 205. As a result, Aldo, who was previously an interim featherweight titleholder, has now been lifted to the place of undisputed featherweight champion.

According to a report by Fox Sports, UFC's decision to drop McGregor's featherweight championship was because they wanted another interim title introduced right before Anthony Pettis and Max Holloway fight it out at the main UFC 207 event. Though the featherweight belt now lies in the hands of Aldo, it seems like the Brazilian fighter is still after another fight with McGregor.

Last December, Aldo came down in a knockout fighting Mcgregor and has since been looking forward to a rematch with the Irishman. However, to Aldo, the second knockout win by McGregor was just a fluke and fans wouldn't have to wait so long to see him take the title back.

In an interview with UFC, Aldo said that he had never stopped being a champion. The Brazilian sportsman maintained that he had only lost to McGregor during the fight because of an accident, and if he could have a rematch with the Irish fighter, he's sure that he would win.

"It's not my fault that he's such a (expletive) he was never the champion. I don't see myself losing to anyone in this division or any other (division)," Aldo said in the interview.

However, now that McGregor officially moved up as the lightweight division champion standing at 155 pounds, it seems like Aldo may have to wait a little bit longer for the rematch.
