Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz will be facing each other again this coming August during UFC 202. This will be the second time they meet in the octagon ring as the two did fight during UFC 196, a match that ultimately led to Diaz taking the win.

The two were initially scheduled to have a rematch during UFC 200 which takes place this July 9 but the event fell out when McGregor had a dispute with the promotion department regarding his duties to promote the match and the event in general. This dispute has since been settled and the match has been rescheduled for UFC 202.

According to MMA Fighting, when the initial fight was cancelled the organization approached Diaz to set up a match with someone else, but Diaz declined, stating he was only interested in fighting McGregor at this point. Compromises had been made to allow the fight to continue in UFC 202.

The press conference for the match is to take place this July 7 at 7:30 AM BST. The conference will be streamed via UFC's official YouTube channel.

Metro points out that during their first match, McGregor had entered the fight naive and overconfident in his abilities given he was the reigning featherweight champion and had just defeated Jose Aldo. Diaz managed to win, however, and inflicted McGregor's records with his first major defeat. McGregor's trainer says this will not happen again.

"The Aldo fight was such a big result for the gym and the country, that we all took the foot off the pedal," explained trainer John Cavanagh. "It was kind of like, 'Ah, you'll just hit him once and he'll go down and then we'll carry on with the journey and get ready for the dos Anjos fight, because that's important."

UFC 202 will take place in August.
