The Duggar boys from the TLC show "Counting On" shared their thoughts on love and courtship during the episode "Guys' Guide To Courtship." which first aired on Tuesday, Oct. 4.

Only eldest brother Josh and sisters Jill and Jessa are married, while the other siblings are still enjoying single blessedness. Jinger is headed towards the altar now that she is engaged to soccer player Jeremy Vuolo. Now, all of them are excited to find out who the next one among them will find love.

The Duggars suspect that second eldest brother John-David, who is Jana's twin, will be the next to go into courtship. Jana, Jessa and Jill all agree that John-David's ideal girl would be an outgoing, talkative country girl. John-David agrees, saying he wants someone who is "somewhere between outgoing and shy, probably a country girl, someone who is quiet."

John-David has not set his thoughts on what courtship rules to follow, because he wants to find a girl and talk to her first before making them. As for Jeddiah and Joseph, they've already made up their minds to uphold strict courtship guidelines.

"I think my courtship standards will be pretty high," Jedidiah says. Joseph adds, "When I'm married and I'm having to give away my daughters, I want to know that the person who is wanting to marry my daughter [is] the right one and that they're not just there to get the prize and leave."

Joseph says it's important for guys to be respectful of the girl's father before entering courtship, and this is why they appreciated how Jeremy approached their dad to convey his interest in Jinger. As for Jeremy, he says he was simply being mindful of Jim Bob's feelings.

"If a young guy asked me if I had any advice in going about asking a father for the permission to date his daughter, I would just say, 'Put yourself in his shoes. Have a bit of respect. Realise that you're not the king of the world.' It's just part of being a man, being face-to-face with another man and asking for his daughter," says Jeremy.

On the other hand, Josiah, who got into a courtship with Marjorie Jackson last year (their relationship fizzled out and they've decided to remain friends), says he wants to figure some things out first before getting into another courtship. "The older I get, the more I realise how young I am and how much more I have to mature in life, so yes I am interested in somebody, but as I get closer I'm like, 'Whoa, I really have to work on some things,'" he says.
