It seems that the second installment of the movie "Creed" will feature sons of the great fighters.

Plot details for the sequel of the "Creed 2" have yet to be announced, but what's confirmed is that Dolph Lundgren will make his return as Ivan Drago — the fighter who killed Apollo Creed in the events "Rocky IV." In an interview with UPROXX, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Sage Northcutt recently revealed that he auditioned to play as Drago's son in the upcoming sequel.

Northcutt has proven to have a striking resemblance to a young Ivan Drago. The fighter added, "The new 'Creed 2' movie is coming out so I was actually going to audition for that. Got a little audition tape so hopefully that goes through. That would be pretty neat. Being Ivan Drago's son in the movie? That would be pretty fun."

Fans of the boxing drama movie franchise were excited upon hearing Lundgren's possible return as one of its memorable villains. They have a feeling that "Creed 2" will set up the collision course between Ivan Drogo and Apollo Creed's son, but with the news that Drago's son will be cast for the film, it's more likely that it will be a match between the sons of the greatest fighters.

"The Rocky" movie franchise has proven itself to be one of the most enduring in Hollywood. The first movie focused on the story of an unknown boxer who was given the opportunity to fight against a world champion, proving to everyone who doubted him that he could go toe-to-toe with the greatest.

Michael B. Jordan led the movie "Creed" and played the role of a boxer trying to show that he is not just his father's son, while Rocky (Sylvester Stallone) trains him to achieve this. The movie was a critical and commercial hit, getting great reviews and even getting an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor for Stallone.

"Creed 2" is set to hit theaters on Nov. 21, 2018.
