'Criminal Minds' season 11 finale spoilers: Is Hotch's life in danger?

Will Hotch bite the dust in "Criminal Minds" season 11 finale? CBS

It looks like the "Criminal Minds" season 11 finale will get someone in jeopardy. The synopsis for the season-ender titled "The Storm" spells trouble for Hotch who is accused by SWAT of conspiracy.

According to the synopsis, Hotch will be apprehended by the unit, which comes as a surprise to his teammates, who, in turn, will do everything they can to prove Hotch isn't partaking in any sinister plot. In their bid to save him, they discover that "a larger plot is on the horizon".

According to Cinema Blend, this "larger plot" in the "Criminal Minds" season 11 finale, whatever it may be, will get Hotch in serious trouble. It might even lead to his demise. Being accused of conspiracy he most likely isn't really a part of suggests that Hotch is a target of someone who wants him up the creek.

Throughout the course of "Criminal Minds," he has always been a target mostly by the extremely dangerous criminals he went after. This plays a part in the issue in the "Criminal Minds" season 11 finale, which sounds like it will be something that Hotch may not be able to get out of permanently.

Another thing is that apart from clearing Hotch's name, his crisis won't be BAU's focus as the team will be tackling a convicted serial killer as well.

In the "Criminal Minds" season 11 finale, Frances Fisher will play the role of a convicted serial killer named Antonia Slade. The "Titanic" star will debut as the character in episode 21, "Devil's Backbone."

In this "Criminal Minds" season 11 episode, which airs tonight (9pm ET), the team will deal with Slade, who has the knowledge of the whereabouts of two missing kids.

Slade, along with her husband, once set up a runaway hotline for teens. Of course, it was nowhere near a refuge for the rebellious kids, who were only brutally punished by the criminals when they misbehaved.

Will Slade eventually have something to do with Hotch's trouble in "Criminal Minds" season 11 finale as well? Find out on May 4 when the season-ender "The Storm" airs.
