The Behavioral Analysis Unit (BAU) will attempt to take down the Dirty Dozen once and for all when the CBS series "Criminal Minds" returns for the second half of season 11.

TV Line reports that the midseason premiere titled "Entropy" will see the specialists set up "an elaborate plan" to stop the group of hitmen from terrorizing the innocent ever again. It looks like Hotch (Thomas Gibson), Rossi (Joe Mantegna), Morgan (Shemar Moore), and the rest of the team have finally figured out a way to apprehend the Dirty Dozen. At the end of the midseason finale, Hotch informed Garcia (Kirsten Vangsness) that a major breakthrough occurred in the case. The female operative is currently under the Witness Protection Program, as the criminals have been targeting her ever since she got involved with the investigation.

If BAU succeeds in this entrapment operation, they will not only capture the Dirty Dozen. They will also send one of their own free from her "incarceration." Garcia is slowly getting tired of her predicament, as she lamented her lack of freedom to Rossi last episode. Although the tough guys have almost always been used to work a case on the field, this time, though, dorky, nerdy Dr. Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) will be the center of their strategy. The resident genius of BAU will reportedly play a major role in ending the terror brought about by the Dirty Dozen. Will this have something to do with the spoiler that he will be going out on a hot date in the upcoming episode?

As reported earlier, Reid will leave his lab to meet a woman named Cat Adams (Aubrey Plaza). Their pleasant dinner takes a shocking and deadly turn when she pulls a gun out and points it at him. The agent will get a surprise when Cat tells him she knows all about his job with the FBI and BAU. She then threatens to shoot everyone in the restaurant if Reid will fail to defeat her in what will be a cat and mouse game between the two.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 will return on Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2016, at 9 p.m. EST on CBS.
