Kirsten Vangsness teased that the 12th season of "Criminal Minds" will be a crazy one, thanks to Mr. Scratch.

In an interview with BuddyTV during the 2016 San Diego Comic Con together with "Criminal Minds: Beyond Border" star Tyler James Williams, Vangsness revealed her speculations that catching Peter Lewis (Bodhi Elfman), also known as Mr. Scratch, could perhaps be the most personal case of the BAU team when the series returns for season 12.

According to the actress, who portrays the role of tech analyst Penelope Garcia, Elfman's character will be around for the season 12 premiere to mess things up. It would be interesting to see how the BAU team will take him back to prison after he and a number of other serial killers broke out of prison in season 11.

Vangsness also revealed how her character will deal with Derek Morgan's (Shemar Moore) decision to quit for a more peaceful job outside BAU in season 11.

"I think that there's going to be a hole there forever," the actress revealed.

However, she is also very excited to see how a new character that will be portrayed by "CSI: Miami" star Adam Rodriguez could fit into BAU in the upcoming episode.

"Adam Rodriguez is now on the show, not a replacement to Shemar [Moore] whatsoever. But he's our guy now, and he is great," Vangsness stated. "And there's no replacement for Adam Rodriguez. It's so nice because he's that kind of a person, that kind of a character."

Other teasers that Vangsness revealed during the 2016 SDCC include the return of Tara Lewis (Aisha Tyler) to the team. She also announced that Paget Brewster's character Emily Prentiss will appear in several episodes for the season.

"Paget Brewster is back for multiple episodes. I don't know how she's [Garcia] going to fare. It'll be cool. I don't know what's going to happen," she stated.

"Criminal Minds" season 12 premieres on Wednesday, Sept. 28, on CBS.
