"Curb Your Enthusiasm" may have taken a six-year hiatus but the show is still as fresh as ever.

The trailer for season 9's second episode, titled "The Pickle Gambit," shows Larry David playing as himself and being his natural self. The synopsis for the upcoming installment reads, "Larry reaches out to a familiar face; gives sartorial advice to a hotel guest; and tries to create a diversion to help a friend's nephew.

Meanwhile, the season 9 premiere episode, titled "Foisted," did not waste time to reintroduce the people in the show as well as their lives in between the seasons.

In an interview with Variety, "Curb Your Enthusiasm" director and executive producer Jeff Schaffer talked about making the first episode. When asked about filming the show after taking a vacation for six years, Schaffer said, "We wrote six or seven episodes before we finally go, 'Hey Larry, are we gonna tell HBO that we're doing this, so we can hire a crew to shoot some of these?' He's always the last person to know he's coming back. Once we sorted of landed on Larry writing 'Fatwa! The Musical' that's when I knew we were coming back."

Schaffer also revealed that one of his favorite punchlines from the first episode was when Richard Lewis, who also plays a fictionalized version of himself, and Larry both wanted to talk to one another and said, "You come here, you come here." And then they eventually met and Richard went on to say, "Are you happy?" And Larry bellowed, "No! I had to take more steps than you!"

Other actors who will appear on the show as guests include Lauren Graham, who starred in "Gilmore Girls"; Bryan Cranston, the lead actor in "Breaking Bad"; and Elizabeth Banks, who played Rita Repulsa in the "Power Rangers" reboot.

"Curb Your Enthusiasm" airs on HBO every Sunday, 10 p.m. EDT.
