The studio behind the critically acclaimed "The Witcher 3" is now shifting its focus mainly toward its next offering, "Cyberpunk 2077."

In an interview with Games Radar, CD Projekt Red Senior Vice President of Business and Publishing Michal Nowakowski revealed that the staff of the company is currently divided between the two games right now.

According to Nowakowski, there remains a sizable contingent of the CD Projekt Red team that is still working on "The Witcher 3," although he also said that an even larger portion of the studio is currently working on "Cyberpunk 2077."

Nowakowski also revealed that work on "Cyberpunk 2077" actually begun long before this year. He indicated that work on the game began when it was initially announced all the way back in 2012, although at that point, it was still in its earliest stages.

Another member of the CD Projekt Red team, lead quest designer Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz, also talked about "Cyberpunk 2077" in an interview with Gamespot.

Tomaszkiewicz reinforced the statements of Nowakowski, saying that the upcoming game has now indeed become the main focus of CD Projekt Red. He also indicated that "Cyberpunk 2077" needs all of the people they can get in order to complete it as desired.

As for other details regarding the game, unfortunately for fans, there's little to go on with regard to that topic.

So far, the only thing CD Projekt Red has said specifically about "Cyberpunk 2077" is that it will be significantly larger than "The Witcher 3," which would be an impressive accomplishment, considering how massive the latter game already is.

The studio has also indicated in the past that they don't plan on revealing more details about "Cyberpunk 2077" until 2017 at the earliest, although it's unclear if they remain committed to that timeline, especially in the wake of two of their staff members already talking about the game to media outlets.
